This is a thought question from a message I listened to recently…
If the distance from the earth to the sun (92 million miles) is the thickness of a sheet of paper… then the distance from the earth to the next nearest star is a stack of paper 70 feet high. The diameter of our galaxy would be a stack of paper 310 miles high. And our galaxy is just a speck of dust in the universe we can see.
Then consider Hebrews 1:3, “He (Jesus) is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power…”
Is this the kind of person we just ask to be our assistant? Is He to be nothing more than our life coach? Are we to say to Him, “Don’t call me, I’ll call you?” “I’ll follow You as long as what happens in my life makes sense?”
Mull that over in your mind today…
