Consider a few thoughts regarding prayer…
“Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:8)
Which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! (Matthew 7:9-11)
Think. Don’t blow by those passages. Meditate on them. All that other stuff can wait.
God… the Creator of the universe, who is your perfect heavenly Father… knows what you need and want (The two are not the same). Consequently God always (!) gives you what is GOOD for you. If it is good, He will give it to you. If it isn’t good, He won’t. Meditate on those two thoughts.
And consider this: Because we are selfish ignorant sinful humans who don’t know how to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us “According To God’s Will.” So, because God knows what you need… and will only give you good things… trust that God’s answers to your prayers are what is best for you!
