WOW … Thanks Ron for posting this video of Sara Palin. Its wonderful to see and know of her faith in Christ. This is certainly a side of her that you will not see on MSNBC or CNN or the New York Times or the Washington Post or the Today Show or ABC News or CNN Headline News or US Magazine or the National Inquirer or the CBS Evening News or NBC or MTV or the …
The media (most of whom admit to being democrat voting liberals) have really shown there true colors in the case of Sara Palin. They would never treat a liberal, a democrat or a minority like that, unless of course that person was a conservative or a Republican. However, she has held up superbly. Her values and her strength of character have shown through. Without faith, I don’t believe that would be possible. I will be praying that she would be strong enough to last it out.
The news today is the John McCain has received an 11 point bump since the convention according to a new Gallop pole. The results are that McCain is now at 50% and Obama at 46%. Fox News thankfully did a story on it. The Today Show gave it about 20 seconds during a news segment and but made sure to point out the margin of error is +/- 3% which Ann Curry said “makes the race a virtual dead heat”. When Obama hit 50% after the Democratic Convention, it was treated by all of the news services and cable networks as a major news story.
I am not surprised by the double standards in the media and from liberals or certainly not the incredible silence coming from feminist groups over the treatment Sara Palin has received as a woman and a mom. In fact, it’s so common that we are used to it. What is surprising is how obvious and transparent it has become and how unapologetic they have been.
Dealing with this situation reminds me of a line from one of my favorite movies — Operation Petticoat, a comedy staring Cary Grant and Tony Curtis about a WWII sub that was sunk at the dock, refloated, painted pink and had to get to safety with one good engine, some rescued nurses and a bunch of worn out spare parts. They said that Lord willing they could get there but that the good Lord “would have to give them His undivided attention.”
