In 1980 Pastor Harley felt the call of God to go to
Brooklyn, New York. After seeing the tremendous need there, along with the
desire of him and his wife Jan to do a work for the Lord, Redemption Ministry
began. A church and a drug program was established.
After living in Brooklyn for three years, the call of the
Lord led them to India. Once again, their hearts ached as they saw the many
needs and the hopelessness of the people around them. . Along with their sons,
they lived in India during the year of 1984.
Their mission program reaches out evangelizes in many remote villages in
South India.
Over the last
20 years they have established over
250 churches,
as well as Bible schools and several elementary
schools. .A Bible school was started and has
since trained hundreds of men and women in ministry for the Lord. Just this year
the newest Bible School complex trains up to 175
students each year.
Currently there are
19 homes for children, built in conjunction with existing churches. The needs for children
in India are of a
critical state, with many orphaned or abandoned children have to work in fields
or beg on the streets just to have food, and without an education have no hope
for a future.
As the apostolic call on Pastor Harley’s life continued,
churches were started in Minneapolis and Duluth, Minnesota. All three of the churches
emphasized on
evangelism, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and reaching out to the lost and
needy. Additionally, Pastor Harley Set up 2 drug and alcohol homes for men, and a coffeehouse
ministry to meet the needs of the inner
cities.
Over the years, many lives have been dramatically changed by the power of
Jesus Christ ministered through their lives. Lives are forever changed,
relationships restored, and now have a hope and a future.
