When someone says they’re praying for me, there are several thoughts I have…

Don’t say it if you aren’t serious and don’t do it… (Can’t explain that one).

Please, please, please, keep me in your prayers!

There are things in our life that can only be dealt with through prayer. We must therefore be praying for each other! I’m not talking about stumpped toes or sore throats or other temporal matters (Those are important, but way down the list of what is really important!). I’m talking about the really important things… eternal matters.

What should we be praying about for each other?

To honor God in life…

To grow in Godliness and holiness…

To be more like Christ…

To become MORE loving, gracious, merciful, forgiving, and compassionate…

To trust God more…

To have a hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Maybe, just maybe, our prayer has been somewhat misdirected. If so, let’s change direction…
