The NCAA Men’s Basektball Champion will be decided April 2, 2007.  The brackets are out and prognosticators are debating who’ll end up in the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, Final Four, and then be The NCAA Men’s Basketball Champion for 2007.

Like most everyone else, for fun each of the staff has picked who they thought would win all the way from round one to the championship game.  But there’s one bracket that has a pseudo-Biblical influence to it.  WHAT?!  Yeah… and that’s the reason I mentioned Proverbs 16:33 in the blog title.

In Proverb 16:33 it is written, ” The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.”  So we took that literally.  We flipped a coin to see which team would win.  We started in round one and went all the way through to who would win the championship.

I did this for two reasons: 1) To prove a point, and 2) For fun.  The fun part is bragging rights for one year (Aside: I’ve been bragging ever since last year when Florida won).  The point I hope to prove will be born out as the tournament progresses.  I’ll get back to you on what that point actually is April 3 (God willing).

Hint: The process we use to make decisions is important.  The motivation behind the decisions we make is just as important as the process we use to make the decision (Read that again).

I’ll let you know how the experiment goes in the days ahead… God willing.  And if I win, I’ll tell you about that too…
