lamb  My frind Dr. John Thweatt, pastor of FBC-Pell City, sent me a video link that every Christian needs to watch.  It is shocking and graphic, but appropriate given the Scripture and what Christ did in obedience to His Father.  First, the Scripture…

Is 53:7 “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.” (With Acts 8:32-38)

Jn 1:36,  “(John the Baptist) looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”

1 Cor 5:7, “For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.”

Rev 5:12, “”Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!”

Heb 13:12 So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood. 13 Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured. 14 For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Jesus Christ, during the Jewish Passover, became our Passover lamb.  The Scripture above describes what he did… which had a much greater impact on those of that day than it does on us today… because we’ve never seen it.

Below is a link to an actual Jewish Priestly Passover  Sacrifice performed in 2008.  But be warned… it is graphic.  The only reason I include it is because we need to be reminded just what Jesus willingly did for God to be glorified in the salvation of all who will believe.  It is hard to watch… but again… this is what it took, on a cosmic scale, for sin to be forgiven.  This is a slight representation of what Jesus did on Passover 2,000+ years ago.
