Being transparent, this morning I have not been in a good mood. Why doesn’t matter. It is enough that for the last few hours I have not had a good attitude. Then as I was checking my website and blog, I noticed a post someone read from 2010 I didn’t remember. So I clicked the link and read this…
Consider what is written in Psalm 73:21-26…
When my soul was embittered, when I was pricked in heart, 22 I was brutish and ignorant; I was like a beast toward you. 23 Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. 24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. 25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
I stopped… reflected again… and God encouraged me
Nevertheless… “Even though,” “In spite of,” “Even after…” mistakes, failures, and blunders are committed… the person in Christ is STILL in Christ. HE holds the believer’s hand through every difficult day… every hard time… every storm of adversity… even when they have a bad attitude. As Jesus said, “No one can pluck them out of My Father’s hand!”
Then I realized I had encouraged myself. God had me read something I wrote three years ago… that I had forgotten… to be encouraged by Him.
GOD IS GOOD!
God is good! He helps us in His time! Thank you Ron for sharing. God Bless!
God is always good and we should never forget that. I myself have “down” days but I always thank God every morning when I awaken for aother day and every night for the full day and a blessed night. Without Him I could not survive. All people have problems in their lives that we know nothing about and that is why I hardly get mad because I know there are things they are putting up with that I don’t know anything about. God bless and keep these messages coming.
People have ways of negatively impacting our life even when not meaning to! A perceived or unintentional slight, thoughtless words, a look, no response when we need encouragement, busy lives, phone calls not returned and a hundred other things can negatively impact my day. Thanks for the reminder of where we are to look for encouragement. Hope your day turned out better than it started! Keep reminding yourself and us where our hope lies!
Thanks for sharing your experience. God lead you to read something which you had written years before and forgotten. You were encouraged. Well, Pastor Ron, dear brother, God lead me to read your story and by encouraging you, He encouraged me also ! To our God be the glory !
