I read a quote during my reflections I ask you to consider… especially as you prepare for worship on Sunday.

What is profoundly stupid is the sheer amount of innovation, creativity, energy, ambition, and astounding levels of human wherewithal that go into crafting the most amazing worship experiences Americans have ever seen inside churches where the gospel isn’t preached. I can say this because there’s only one thing we hold that the New Testament calls “power,” and that’s the gospel.

Just something to reflect upon.  Now for thoughts today…

I am by nature a morning person.  I love mornings… maybe because that is when Jesus rose from the dead.   Consider…

Ps 5:3 O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;  in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.
Ps 30:5 For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime.  Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Ps 59:16 But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress.
Ps 90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Ps 143:8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust.  Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
There is just something about getting up with the first thought in your mind being God… His blessings… His nature, character, mercy, and grace.  There is no better way to begin the day.
