Whatever is important to a person… whatever dominates their thinking and captivates their heart… they will talk about, OFTEN. Not only will they talk about it, they will live it out. Why else would a man poison a tree over a football game (Click)? This is also why grandparents can’t stop talking about their grandkids.

Everyone does what they want to do then they find a reason or excuse for doing it.

Christians are only thought strange when they talk often and regularly about the one who saved them from God’s wrath. But they can’t help it! They are so filled with the love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness God has lavished on them they must speak of Jesus or bust. They flash Jesus to everyone like a newly engaged girl flashes her ring under everyone’s nose.

“If anyone is willing to follow Jesus they must deny themselves…” (Lk 9:23). Self denial is an easy choice for those who walk with God. It’s not hard to deny a bologna sandwich in favor of T-bone steak. What doesn’t make sense is valuing bologna over steak! It is strange today to choose steak (Christ) over bologna (The world).

Jeremiah 2:12, Be appalled, O heavens, at this; be shocked, be utterly desolate, declares the Lord, 13 for My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.
