Two teams… two coaches… one faith in Jesus Christ.
Check out this website that was also a full page add in USA Today. I found this while visiting Dr. Ray Pritichard’s blog and thought it worthy of passing along.
When you go to the website, watch the videos and read the articles. Pass the site along as it is of great encouragement! THIS is an example of Philippians 1:27!
I am so glad you shared this article with us. The Colts are my favorite and Tony Dungy is my sports “hero”. He is an awesome man and to listen to his testimony with such heart felt emotion should be an inspiration to anyone. It is so great to see people like Tony, Lovie and Shawn Alexander stepping up and presenting their faith to everyone. When you see people like T.O and Michael Vick in the news all the time, the fresheness and love that you get from these coaches and other christian players is like a breath of fresh air. It is such a great feeling to watch a game and know you are watching christian men put the gift God gave them to work and see the witness that occurs as others watch and see them conduct themselves in such an honorable and noble way. I know I am proud of them and I know GOD is also. You are so right! They are perfect examples of Phillipins 1:27. Thanks for sharing! Carmen
You are right Carmen. It is good to see good, positive, and Christian role models giving testimony to the grace and love of God through our Lord.

Hey Pastor Ron, Sorry about misspelling Philippians…I type to fast and then forget to check my spelling!! Carmen
Tony Dungy’s comment on Sunday night after the game during an interview where he stated that being a Christian man was more important to him that being the first African American NFL coach to win the Super Bowl was so impressive. He had been asked what holding the Vince Lombardie trophy meant to him as an African American? and while he stated it was a proud moment for African Americans, he concluded by saying that he was most proud of being a Christian man holding the trophy and included Lovie Smith in his remarks. What a great witness to millions of people watching…
