baby-cryPresently I am helping my daughter take care of my grandson during the day. He has a few digestive issues that make him a little fussy at times. Along with that, he hasn’t yet learned the joy of continuous sleep. Instead, he fights against it with all his might until he is exhausted.

To him, his world is falling apart every couple of hours… and he lets us know. But WE know something he can’t know. My daughter would give her life for his protection (As would I). My daughter and I make sure every need he has is met… quickly. Diapers get changed quickly… he is fed just as quick. He is protected from outside diseases people might have (We wash our hands constantly)… well, you probably know the drill.

BUT HE STILL CRIES… OFTEN.

Something came to me a few days ago… “How much more does my Father in heaven take care of & provide for me and every other believer?!” As it is written…

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! (Mt 7:11)

Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! (Lk 12:24)

Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! (Lk 12:27-28)

I have a sign that has been with me for years I’m going to dust off… it’s a rule in our home… “No Whining.” Why? Because of who God is and what He has done! So I have made a note to self… “CHILL! God is at work!!”
