AU UACongratulations to Auburn in their victory over Alabama! But please remember… both sides… it was just a game. I’ve heard enough of Auburn and Alabama fans (Short for “fanatic”) insulting each other… especially when a kicker gets death threats because he missed a field goal or one person kills another over the game. So, when it comes to that obnoxious fan, remember the following (Applies in other situations also!)…

Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Matthew 5:39)

Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45)

Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God… (Romans 12:17-19)

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31-32)

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. (Philippians 1:27, NIV)
