Psalm 84:11… “No good thing does God withhold from those who love Him…”  Romans 8:32… “He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?”

The problem we have with that is God’s definition of “good” and ours are eons apart!  God NEVER takes anything away from us… or doesn’t give us a particular thing… except to give us something much better than we could ever have imagined!  It is best for us to believe God… in the midst of the loss that precedes the greater gift.

Who would not trust God to “lose” in order to gain something better?  Which of us would rather keep trinkets in our hand rather than bars of gold?  Would any Christian who believes God and trusts Him prefer playing on a broken down back-yard swing set to Disney World (Metaphorically speaking).

Whatever a Christian may “lose” now and in this world God WILL give something much better now and in the world to come.  That is found in what Jesus said as recorded in Mark 10:29-31…

Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel,  30 who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.  31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

Maybe… just maybe… God really does know what He’s doing.  And maybe… just maybe… there IS something better that He’ll give for what He takes.

Maybe we need to quit worrying and trust God.  Hmmm… that’s a novel idea…
