One thing a person needs to know as they become a Christian is that you will wait on God… a lot.  Virtually nothing happens quickly in the Christian life.  Waiting will take place regarding:  Answers to prayer… Spiritual growth… Comprehending God’s will in life… and 10,000 other things.

Consider these who sought God or were used by Him, and had to wait…

Noah waited 120 years for the flood to come…  Abraham waited 25 years to become a father… Moses waited 40 years in the backside of Midian before God commissioned him to deliver Israel… Paul was in the desert for 3 years before he began his public ministry… Jerusalem believers waited 40 days for the promised Holy Spirit at Pentecost… A lady I know waited 50 years for God to save her husband.  The longest time I’ve waited on God for answered prayer at this point in my life was 29 months.  Waiting cannot be escaped if you are a Christian.
