I received this from a friend regarding Christians and ISIS…
Just a few minutes ago I received the following text message on my phone from Sean Malone who leads Crisis Relief International (CRI). We then spoke briefly on the phone and I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all of our contacts. “ISIS has taken over the town they are in today. He said ISIS is systematically going house to house to all the Christians and asking the children to denounce Jesus. He said so far not one child has. And so far all have consequently been killed. But not the parents. We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food too. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) and is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated it’s staff in Erbil . Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!”
Of course we will pray for the persecuted Christians in that region, but there is another more important (?) prayer… For God to raise up an ISIS Saul. Christians who die are in heaven, their soul is saved, they are better off with Jesus than living on earth. We pray for their strength and faith to be increased, and for physical delivery… according to God’s will.
However, do you remember Saul’s purpose BEFORE he was saved? He killed Christians. Then on the road to Damascus Jesus appeared to, and saved him! The ISIS members are unbelievers… lost… unsaved. If they don’t trust Jesus they will enter hell upon their death. Thus the importance of praying for someone FROM THEIR RANKS to be saved so ISIS members can hear the Gospel so as to be saved! Can God do that? He already did… with Saul.
Understand what I mean by “Pray for an ISIS ‘Saul.'”
Praying!
