This is for my weekly Bible study tonight…
“Pain and Perspective”
Q: Is there a difficult time in your life that is 20-30 years old? (Answers)
Q: Now, 20-30 years later, how do you view it?
Q: What would you tell “The THEN YOU” if you could?
Q: What Bible stories or passages helped you during (Or since) that event?
Q: Were there people who helped you? What did they do?
THINK! How many of those things would be true for a problem TODAY 20-30 years from today?!
THINK! Apply your 20-30 year memory evaluation to any or all present day situations.
THINK! HOW MUCH MORE will God redeem this life in eternity?!
THINK! Perspective and time are powerful. Rather than today getting the best of you, embrace God’s truth through God’s perspective.
Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.”
Colossians 3:1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Romans 8:31, What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
