Teach your kids about real life and consequences while they are young! Sooner or later they will have to face it with out you. I’ve got a feeling Paris never had consequences. My grandmother always said, “You come into this world on your own and you will leave this world on your own so you better learn how to deal with that.”
I think there has been way too much emphasis placed on Paris Hilton. The only reason
we even know her is because her family has money. Personally I think if she did the
crime she should face the time. Think about those she could have injured or killed
while driving under the influence.
I’ve had mixed feelings about this from the beginning. What she did was wrong, she broke the law and there are consequences for breaking the law. She is no different from anybody else. The sad part is she was not prepared to face and deal with adversity. Our faith in God, abiding in His word, prayer, right living and daily putting on the full armor of God is our protection from Satan and his snares. (I am older now and can be more philosophical than when I was younger.) Having made my mistakes,(and still do) I place no judgement on her recent declaration of faith in God and intention to turn her life around. I think we should pray for her to have the faith and strength she needs to follow through with her spoken words.
I looked at this from the parent point of view –
