This will be my last post about dad and his recent passing. You can click here to see the video played during his visitation. You can click here to read his bio and other information.
Thank you dad for…
Being the first one from whom I heard, “No matter what you ever do your mom and I will always love you…”
Giving me a love for the study of the Scriptures…
Imbedding in my mind that no matter what others do, I should do what is right.
Giving me a quote I still use, “Everyone does what they want to do and then find a reason or excuse for it.”
Being an example of how to take care of your parents since you kept your mom in your home until she died at age 94 in March of 2009.
Being my dad…
Ron, I know of your love and respect for your Dad because of how you mentioned him in your sermon presentations. And I know you will continue to do that, albeit in a different mindset. Much love to you and your family.
Brother Ron,
I hope you and your family are doing well and I was so happy to hear and read about your father and the conversion in his life. I know that your father must have been very proud of you for being the leader that you are and been very grateful for your help and assistance in his life, especially in the past month or so. After seeing the outpouring of affection and respect that you have shown your father it has made me realize that I need to take every opportunity available to tell my parents how much I love, respect, and appreciate them. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and I look forward to seeing you at church. Thanks again for all of your help and for welcoming us with open arms to Moulton Baptist.

Ron, The video presentation is such a beautiful tribute to your Dad. I want to be sure all my family sees it. My love to you and to all of your family. I am praying for each of you.
Your comments are so sweet and true, and it is great that you are such a gracious, loving son!
Pastor Ron, thank you so much for sharing this video with us. It was so wonderful seeing pictures of you and your family. We’re so blessed that you came into our life. Please know that all of you are special and this has brought back wonderful memories of me and my family. We love all of you. Sarah
Ron,
As one who has also suffered deeply as the result of the death of a loved one, I can sympathize with you in the loss of your Dad. How nice, though to know that your Dad and my loved one is now in the presence of Jesus.
Sincerely, Pat Steed
