This year at WABC we’re going to center everything we do around one text of Scripture.  In team meetings, as we make decisions, as we call staff, as we carry out ministry, as we live our life… I’m asking that we take the thoughts of one verse of Scripture and work it in to every area of our life.  Then, hopefully, by the end of 2007 God will have done a work in us as individuals… and as a church… to conform us to the image of His son.

For that reason… I’d like to ask you to begin thinking and meditating upon Philippians 1:27.  It is presented below in several different translations for your convenience…

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ (New International Version).

Let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ (English Standard Version).

Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ (New American Standard Bible)

Live in such a way that you are a credit to the Message of Christ (THE MESSAGE)

The important thing is that your way of life should be as the gospel of Christ requires (Today’s English Version)

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ (King James Version)

Be sure as citizens so to conduct yourselves [that] your manner of life [will be] worthy of the good news (the Gospel) of Christ (Amplified Bible)

Only conduct yourselves worthily of the glad tidings of the Christ (Darby Bible)

Live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ (New Living Translation)

Whatever happens to me, remember always to live as Christians should (The Living Bible)
