Dr. Lewis Drummond was the supervisor for my Doctor of Ministry project at Beeson Divinity School.  He was a great man of God and a confidant to pastors and students everywhere.  He was a personal friend with Billy Graham, wrote close to 30 books, president of one of our seminaries, and I could go on.  Anyway…

One day in class Dr. Drummond asked the class a question I’d like to pose to you.  As only he could, he posed this query in a loving confrontational way…

“WHAT IF God told you He would use you to bring a sweeping world-wide revival?  What if He told you that as a result, millions upon millions would come to Christ for salvation?  What if he told you there would be reconciliation between races, enemies, and cultures as a result of your ministry?  And that afterward you would have lost your family… all your wealth and possessions… and you would be bedridden for the rest of your life.  Would you say, “Here I am, send me?!”

The room was quiet except for one Church of God Pastor who immediately said, “Even so come Lord Jesus!”

What would your answer be?
