This post is a follow up to the one from yesterday about my little brother who lived but a few hours before going to be with the Lord. In this post I ask you to click on the link that will take you to a video titled “99 Balloons.”
Dr. Ryan Whitley mentioned this on his blog and after viewing it I found it moving and worth passing on. After I watched it, several thoughts came to my mind which are…
1) The length of life is no indicator of the significance or impact a life can have.
2) Life is a gift from God that is to be cherished… for however long it is granted.
3) Christ is the source of abuntant life that only He can give.
4) God is good… all the time!
That last statement is not said lightly… but rather in all gratitude with a heart of worship to our Sovereign Lord.
Wow what an awesome story. One of Gwen’s best friends (her roommate in college) is pregnant with a T-18 baby just like Eliot. God’s timing is perfect. We just forwarded it to Chuck and Suzi. Their perspective is great; we got a note today saying, “He is perfect for God’s purposes.” Thanks for your heart Bro.
I know this post (And the last one) struck a chord for you and Gwen. I must say that walking with you through your last pregnancy was a blessing for me as I saw both of you model love for God in the midst of severity in life. Know that you and your family have been a blessing to at least one pastor. God bless you both!
