There is another dimension around us we’re mostly not aware of.  A world where God’s angels protect… help… guide… and serve His people.

Hebrews 1:14 (About angels) “Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?”

Psalm 34:7, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.”

Meditate on those passages.  Reflect on them.  Think back to your “close calls,” the times things happened that can only be explained as God intervening and protecting you.  Those were not miracles but God’s angels carrying out His will in your life.  Only in heaven will it be revealed how many times angels were active in our lives, but not visibly seen.

Angels fight on our behalf for God’s glory.  I say “fight” because demons try to hinder and prevent angels from helping us.  Consider…

Ephesians 6:12 We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

2 Kings 6:17Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 And when the Syrians came down against him, Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, “Please strike this people with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness in accordance with the prayer of Elisha.

Daniel 10:11 And (The angel) said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly loved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for now I have been sent to you.” 12 “Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words. 13  The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia, 14 and came to make you understand what is to happen to your people in the latter days. 19 And he said, “O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.” 20 But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia…

Angels also speak to God regarding how His little ones are treated on earth…

Matthew 18:10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

Then when believers die, at least two angels are sent to usher the believer into the presence of God.  I like to think one of them is our guardian angel.

Luke 16:22  The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side.

There is a very good reason NOT to be afraid… ever… because as a believer in Christ God has given you a guardian angel.
