I affirm all those, but for me the coup de gras is what happened in Isaiah 38:7-8. Hezekiah was told he would die… then told his life would be extended by 15 years. As proof this would happen, GOD made the earth reversed it’s rotation so that time went BACK one hour! Read below… then I have a few thoughts for you to consider in the midst of your difficulties.
“This shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that He has promised: 8 Behold, I will make the shadow cast by the declining sun on the dial of Ahaz turn back ten steps.” So the sun turned back on the dial the ten steps by which it had declined.
That means the earth’s rotation reversed for one hour! Think! With such a momentous event taking place…
The seas and oceans didn’t slosh over their banks…
The mountains didn’t lay flat from tectonic shifts…
People didn’t lose their balance fall over when the earth stopped and reversed it rotation (TWICE!)…
The wind didn’t howl in the opposite direction when the earth reversed (TWICE)!
The earth, which rotates at the equator at 1,070 MPH, was stopped (By God)… reversed at the speed of 1,070 MPH… stopped AGAIN (By God’s power) and resumed its rotation at 1,070 MPH… WITHOUT ANYONE FEELING IT! Proof was the shadow on a sundial stopped, reversed, stopped, and resumed.
THAT my friend takes omnipotent power! Indeed NOTHING is too hard for the Lord! And think about this Christian… the God who did that lives in you! So…
Don’t fear… Don’t worry… Don’t fret… It is God’s will to do only what is ultimately good for you. He is going to give you the Kingdom, so why would He withhold anything good from you now? BELIEVE GOD!
