After worship Sunday I went to East Lake park to exercise. There I saw a man running… when he passed me his shirt had this on the back..
As I neared the end of my three miles, I saw him jumping… taking a few steps… then jumping again, and again, and again, and again…
I was impressed because these concrete lights go all the way around the lake (1 Mile) and are spaced about 20 yards apart. I stopped and talked with him and he told me his regimen was to run 10 miles, then jump all the lights twice around! Read that again!! I found out he was a brother in Christ. We talked a while and encouraged each other. We prayed then went our ways. Now for the lesson…
Should we not as Christians be AT LEAST as devoted to our spiritual health as the most devoted athlete is to physical health? From the first picture you can tell he was cut… ripped… and in great shape. I wonder… when people observe us, is our spiritual health just as obvious? I don’t know about you, but (God willing) I’m going to rededicate myself to spiritual AND physical discipline. Bless you my new friend (Tyrone) and thank you for your encouragement!
