OPMOne person matters. There is a place for ministering to large groups. After all, Jesus fed 5k one time and 4k another. He taught a large group called “The Sermon on the Mount.” Crowds followed him wherever he went. However…

Jesus also ministered to individuals: The woman at the well (Jn 4:1-17); The invalid of 38 years (Jn 5:1-9); The man blind from birth (Jn 9:1-7); The paralytic brought to him (Mt 9:1-8); A leper (Lk 5:12-16); ad infinitum (John 21:25). Bottom line.. A person mattered to Jesus! ONE individual was worthy of His absolute attention.

One time Jesus ignored a whole crowd to give attention to ONE person (Mk 5:25-34). During this encounter He stopped ministering to ONE in order to minister to ONE then returned to finish ministering to the previous ONE (Mk 5:22-43)… the point being that one person ALWAYS matters!

One person will matter ON JUDGMENT Day. Jesus made a big deal of ministering to ONE person in this life (This is huge). Consider Matt 25:34…

The King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.  35 For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed Me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to ME.’

One person matters. One person is as important to God as are the masses. Who will be the ONE person for you today? I pray we all hear Mt 25:40 from Jesus when we stand before Him…
