What do you do when rejected as a Christian? Answer: Don’t fight back. Don’t whine about it, move on. As Jesus said, turn the other cheek. Consider Mt 10:22-23…
You will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 23 When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next…
When people wanted Jesus to leave their presence… He did (More than once). When people hated Paul for the message he preached… he left and went elsewhere. As it is written in Mt 10:14…
If anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.
Do not take rejection personally because it isn’t. Go where the Word will be received. If/when you are rejected, people aren’t rejecting you but the One that sent you. If you aren’t being rejected… opposed… vilified… or mistreated at least some (Because of Christ), you probably aren’t being the salt and light you’ve been called to be.
Don’t worry about your reputation, what people think or say is meaningless. Don’t worry about what you’ll do next, God will provide. Leave the provision for living each day in God’s hand and trust Him. All you need to be content is food and clothes.
